These bold and beautiful home manicures are bang on trend for summer nail art. Just pair with sunglasses, lipstick and a smile and you are perfect to go out.
Perhaps it’s something to do with all the cocktails we’re drinking right now, but our hands always feel more on a show over summer nail designs or nail art. You probably don’t have unlimited time or cash to spend on endless nail bar visits, but that’s no problem when you can easily create your own artistic manicures with minimal skill. To give you some inspiration, we’ve paired up our favorite new nail looks to add a flash more color to your summer.

Tropical Twist

Looks complicated, takes zero effort besides watching nail paint dry. Paint your nails, wait until they dry, then add few Tropical Rainforest stickers and its done.
Summertime Blues

Apply the jaunty sea-blue nail color on your nails and paint a nautical stripe in silver.
Juicy fruit

The watermelon nail requires more patience than skill, and you only need to do it once. Paint a base pink nail color on all five of your nails and once it is 100% dry, add a stripe of green on the accent nail. Wait again for it to dry then use a thin stripe of opaque white nail polish to neatly join the two colors. Dots of black nail polish complete the watermelon effect.
Sunset tones

To get in the mood for cocktail hour, Paint on a pick ‘n’ mix of sunset shades using, from left, Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer in Flamingo Float, £10.99 (on ring finger too), Barry M Coconut Infusion in Flip Flop, £4.99, and Essie Nail Lacquer in Looks To Thrill, £9.99.
